About Chhavi

I am a fully registered clinical psychologist with seven years of clinical experience working with people with a broad range of concerns. I am registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board under the ‘Clinical Psychologist’ Scope of Practice and based in Hamilton, New Zealand. 

 

I use an integrated approach of intervention drawing upon my training and knowledge of various established and evidence based therapies like Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), schema therapy, prolonged exposure and existential approaches.

I am registered with ACC as a provider for sensitive claims and concussion service.

  • Relationship problems and challenging personality issues

I also have extensive experience in completing

  • Neuro-psychological assessments

  • Personality assessments

I am quite keen on reviewing the progress we would be making in therapy on a regular basis by using outcome measures. In order to get best results for my clients I spend time on professional development activities like training and supervision.
